Overview

The Metal-Enclosed Gas-Insulated Switchgear, abbreviated as GI, uses low-pressure SF6 gas as the insulating medium.with vacuum circuit breakers and three-position switches as the main primary components, sealed inside a pressurized compartment. It is primarily used in power plants for auxiliary power, substations in transmission and distribution systemsdistribution systems in industrial and commercial enterprises, as well as in environments with high humidity (or condensation)high altitudes, and polluted conditions, for control, protection, and monitoring. Compared to conventional airinsulated switchgear, GIS offers significant advantages in terms of cost-effectiveness, applicability, and reliability.
